Do you have a certain person that is super hard to buy for during the holidays?
Yeah, me too.
A friend of mine and I exchange gifts every year, and each year I rack my brain trying to figure out the perfect gift. This year, my friend and I decided to make each other a gift instead of buying one. That way every time we use or bring out the item, we have a fun memory to look back on.
Here is what I did.
First I nailed four boards together. And actually, I reused these from another past project.
Next I painted all of the boards with Plaster Paint in Ivory Lace.
Once that dried, I went over the first and third board with Plaster Paint in Black Tie.
I then decided to use a stencil from Royal Design Studio. The one I used was the Antlers Christmas Stencil.
I squeezed a little bit of gold craft paint on a paper plate, used a dobber with a very small amount of paint on it, and then I filled in the stencil.
Once that dried, I used some ornaments that I picked-up at 50% off from Michael’s, and I hot glued them to the boards to form a deer head.
That was it! Super easy!
Head over to Royal Design Studio to see all of their other holiday stencils.
I know that I will be using this one for many more projects in the future!
