Don’t you just love Spring? The flowers blooming, the birds chirping, warm weather, and most important of all … yard sales begin.
Everyone in the house is happy. I’m able to open the windows, the unnamed child and her boyfriend are able to do more activities outdoors, even the pups are happy because they get to go on walks.
Being the lover of color that I am, I feel even more free to add more pops of color this time of year. Today, some of my bloggy buddies and I are sharing our Spring home decor ideas!
Brightly colored flowers just make the house feel fresh and alive.
I was excited when my mom brought me the bouquet down below for Easter, and they really give my coffee table the pizzaz I am looking for.
I also added some faux greenery to an urn that I picked up at a vintage sale last year and to my little terrarium thing that I have had for awhile.
Don’t look too hard or you will see that my gallery wall is grey and the walls in the kitchen are still beige. The whole house is in the midst of a grey makeover, but I haven’t made it to the kitchen yet.
I also added some bright pink pillows to my normal turquoise ones to bring out the pink in the flowers.
This is my coastal themed tablescape.
I have never gone the coastal route before, but I found these sweet little seagull plates that I had to have, and the table took off from there.
I layered them on top of some turquoise plates I found at Homegoods a few months ago, and I used my pretty striped runner that is perfect for spring and summer.
These are my DIY Coastal Napkin Rings that I shared with you yesterday. Click here to see the tutorial.
I used a mint green candle I had inside my hurricane glass to pull some of the other colors out of the runner.
I also added some vintage bottles I picked up at a yard sale and a white octopus I had in storage.
What I love about decorating for Spring is that it isn’t holiday related, and it could last all summer if I choose to.
As much as I love decorating for holidays, I hate only being able to keep the decor up for such a short amount of time. If you’re going to go through all of the effort, you like to be able to enjoy it for awhile.

Everything looks so pretty! I agree with your thoughts on decorating so that you can enjoy it for as long as possible. It’s a lot of work to get things looking just the way you want it to look.
I love the vintage bottles that you used on your table. So pretty! This is kind of crazy, but my mom and I plan to go digging on the farm where she grew up where trash used to be dumped, we are hoping to find lots of similar old bottles. 🙂

Shanna, I love all the tiny details that make your home ready for Spring. From the candle, the napkin rings and the soft spot Whitson and blue accessories.
Thank you for sharing your home and your talent.
