Hello my friends!
As I explained to you last week, I’ve been having some issues with my right kidney. The doctor inserted a stent because my kidney had a blockage. Well … sticking that sucker in there caused a whole lot of other problems, and the doc decided it needed to come out. When they put it in, it was during a surgery where I was under anesthesia. What they didn’t tell me was that when they take it out you are not. So when the doctor said this is really going to hurt, he freaking meant it people. After that came out, they thought things would be better, but so far it isn’t — which really sucks because I’ve got stuff to do: we still have to find prom shoes; get the dress altered; get the unnamed child enrolled in some million-dollar college classes; and I haven’t been able to touch a project in weeks and my poor furniture booth looks like a ghost town. So they have either got to fix what is wrong with me (I’d prefer that), or give me some way stronger drugs. Although in the ER they gave me Dilaudid, which I highly recommend if you ever get the opportunity (and the need).
One thing I hadn’t had a chance to show you yet was my spring decor on my coffee table.
I added a new turquoise table runner for a bright, springish pop of color.
I moved my old balusters over and put my baby-shoe-with-easter-eggs inside and my new little iron easter bunny in front.
On the other end I added my little stool which I topped with a turquoise vase from Nell Hill’s and some shockingly realistic looking artificial roses that I picked-up at Hobby Lobby.
I also added a little framed quote and the matching bunny.
In the center, I moved my miniature, decorative greenhouse, which I absolutely love!
And if you didn’t notice, the three little monkeys on the couch were a little too comfortable to move… Sorry for the distraction.

Oh Shanna- so sorry you are going through all this! Moms just don’t have time to get sick!! Your coffee table is beautiful! I love the turquoise! Prayers for a swift recovery! And don’t worry about us- we will be here regardless :}

Shanna, I can not believe you had the time or the energy to make such a beautiful tablescape. You have been in my prayers. Things will get done but only if you rest and recover. I have prayed for healing, pain relief and help from God’s angels on earth. Blessings always.

Geez, that doesn’t sound good Shanna. I hope they figure things out soon. You are in my thoughts! Your little pooches are adorable…it was hard to focus on your cute Easterscape with those cuties in the background.

I’m so sorry that you have been going through all this. That’s awful!! I hope they figure it out and you start feeling better. Did you watch the finale of Hart of Dixie? The show ended so sweet. Best ending to a series. Feel better!

Thanks for your inspiration ~ it really helped me with my coffee table dilemma. Your artistic mind is amazing! You put so much into details, and are blessed with a brain that’s full of ideas. I’ll bet you have a hard time sleeping!
I’m like that too. So if you don’t mind a stranger putting her 2 cents in, please take a time out, and just enjoy the good stuff & beauty you’ve created. When your body tells you something, it’s a REALLY good idea to listen…… that I know for sure. Best wishes ~
