Hi everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend!
Last week, I went with Topher on a business trip to Washington DC. It was a great trip, and I will be sharing more details on that later in the week. If you want a sneak peak of some pictures head on over to my Instagram account.
Since I was gone, I was really behind on my projects, so I spent all day Friday through Sunday painting.
The unnamed child and I took Topher out for lunch on Father’s Day, and I made a big dinner for him and my dad that evening.
Last week I shared with you my Burlap Wreath for the front door.
While I was on the porch sprucing things up a bit, I noticed my flower pots were looking kind of cruddy compared to the front door and new wreath — so I decided to do something about that with a quick makeover.
First thing I did was give them a good scrubbing down.
Before:
Then I got out my handy dandy Krylon spray paint and painted one Mambo Pink and one Rust-Oleum White.
Once my pink pot had dried, I brought out my foam pouncers and my white craft paint.
I squirted a little paint on a paper plate and dipped two different sizes of pouncers in it. Make sure you use it sparingly, if you use too much it will run.
Then just start dotting away. There’s really no right or wrong way to add your dots … just whatever floats your boat.
Topher then planted some new flowers to add an extra little pop of color.
That’s it! Super easy!

This is just the cutest!!! I absolutely love your new polka dot planter The pouncers make really sharp polka dots, nice. Your new platers go really well with your burlap wreath, and how cute that your dogs are all peeking out the window in the full view shot. Too adorable!

Thank you Crystal! Have a great weekend! Oh, and since we have no Heart of Dixie for a while my daughter and I are going back and binge watching all of the old Grey’s Anatomy’s. We are at the end of season 2 right now and have been staying up way too late!

My daughter and I have been watching Golden Girls (we are on the 3rd season) and Friends (on the 5th season). We’ve been staying up way too late also. Summers are great for watching shows again. We already finished watching all the seasons of Numbers. Have a great weekend!!

Oh…I LOVE THIS! I did not know about those foam pouncers. I don’t know how I didn’t know, but I might have to go get some! Love your whole porch.

It’s beautiful! Polka dots give a lovely vintage and girly feel to the pot. Well done!
