Happy Hump Day everyone!
I just want to thank you all for your sweet emails and comments on my health the last few weeks. To answer your questions … things aren’t back to normal yet. I’m still having kidney pain, running a fever, and having massive fatigue. I did get an appointment with a nephrologist, which is good, but not until next week. Next week may not seem like a long time, but when you are in constant pain (and have been for 4 weeks), a week seems like a really, really long time. Until then I am continuing to drug myself up, which I don’t like since I can’t work or drive, and it’s tough on my kidneys to have to filter all of this stuff through.
I did have a project almost finished before all this started, and on a day where I was high as a kite I forced myself to finish it up. My furniture booth is looking like a ghost town these days and I needed to get something new in there.
My parents gave me this server a while back, and although it was pretty, it was really scratched up.
I removed the hardware, and cleaned all of the years of dust off of it.
I then went over the whole piece with two coats of Plaster Paint in Sweet Cream on the outside and Ocean Breeze on the inside.
Once my paint dried, I distressed the it and coated it in Paste Wax.
I spray painted the hardware a metallic silver which really popped.

Years ago I thought it was a sin to paint a good piece of wood furniture, now I see where it adds a new life and lightens things up. I find myself hunting for the paint brush more these days. Thanks for sharing, it looks amazing.
