What is it that gets you crazy motivated to do some last minute decor improvements?
Company coming over, right? I just finished my How To Host A Baby Shower series, and with a houseful of people coming over, it sent me into warp speed on cleaning and finishing projects I never seemed to have time to finish.
A while back I showed you my wall decor on changing a vintage mirror into a frame. It was a little lonely there on that big old wall, and I knew I wanted a photo gallery to incorporate some family photos. I kept thinking I would get to it, but you know how that goes…
When my hubby and I were in Kansas City for our anniversary, I picked up some great old frames (and a great pair of faux antlers), and I finally got to work on them.
I painted half of them with plain old white primer and distressed them. The other half I did the same thing except in turquoise.
I picked out some of my favorite photos, sent them to Walgreens, and picked them up the next day.
Now that I had the frames finished, I started arranging them the way I wanted. I took two rolls of wrapping paper I wasn’t in love with, and I laid them one on top of the other on the floor the length of my wall and taped them together (plain side up).
I then started arranging the pictures where I wanted, and marked an X on the paper where the picture hanger would go.
After I was finished, I taped the wrapping paper on the wall and nailed through the paper where the X was.
I then removed the paper and the nails were in exactly the right spots.
All I had to do then was hang up the frames … and Viola!

What a great idea for the wall, I can never seem to get anything on the walls in the way I want… so the walls always end up with nothing on them lol! Visiting from D&D’s Project Inspire{d} Link Party!
