Happy Monday! I hope you all had a good weekend!
Saturday I spent the entire day painting.
Then I spent two and a half hours cleaning the unnamed child’s closet. I can’t even tell you what a monstrosity that was. I swear there were things growing in there. After two hours I finally gave up. I was still only halfway finished, and I decided to let her finish it on Sunday.
So after a whole day of painting and being traumatized from wading through layer after layer of expensive clothing, I then had to wait up late to have a group of noisy teenager girls stay the night at my house. Their squeals and laughter finally died down around 4:00AM.
Sunday I was back to painting, and then we babysat my sweet little niece (who is now 9 months old) for a few hours. For some reason, Charlie is totally obsessed with licking her, and she thought that was the funniest thing she ever saw. Don’t you just love those big belly laughs babies have?
We then brought a few new things down to the storefront, went and grabbed a bite to eat, and then somehow it was 9:00. How does that happen?
Oh and did I mention it was 100 degrees yesterday? If you are asking yourself “Hey, didn’t Shanna just tell us it was in the 30’s there on Thursday?” The answer would be yes. Here we had the longest winter ever, and then it was finally beautiful on Friday, and then it apparently went straight to summer.
Our big one day of spring went by in a blink.
As I’ve mentioned, I have been super excited that yard sales have started back up. The last two times I have gone out, I have found some ugly pictures with some pretty frames.
Last week I showed you my print turned Chalkboard Glam. Since chalkboards are so popular right now, I decided to do one more to take down to my booth.
Here was the picture before:
The gold frame was a bit dated looking, so I spray painted it with, well … a more bold gold color.
I then cut a piece of wood and coated it with two coats of chalkboard paint.
Here is the after:
