Happy Monday my friends!!
I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Ours was great. We hosted Thanksgiving dinner for my side of the family this year (we switch off going from one side of the family to the other each year). Everyone was able to come (the unnamed child had to work all day, but got off just in time to eat), and we of course stuffed ourselves silly. Shortly afterward, we got a big ice storm, which I could have done without, but it did start to melt off yesterday.
I can’t believe it’s after Thanksgiving, and I still haven’t shown you any of my Christmas decor yet!
Most of my holiday decor in the past has been turquoise, white, and silver. While there is still a lot of that, with my mantel, I decided to step out of my box a little bit and add in some different colored pastels along with some silver and gold.
I first found these pink sequined trees at JoAnn’s a few weeks back and decided that was a good starting point.
I also found my NOEL marquee letters there too.
I went with my same garland from last year, and instead of the turquoise bulbs I used, I went with the different pastels.
It was looking a little plain, so I used my Merry Christmas garland from Target.
I thought I was finished, but every time I walked by the mantel it looked a little empty up top.
I dug around in my hoard and found an old wreath I got at a yard sale this summer. I decided to use it to knock off a Martha Stewart wreath I fell in love with.
I found these little sugar houses and bottle brush trees at JoAnn’s for 60% off and hot glued them onto the wreath.
I then glued on some angel hair onto the bottoms of the houses to look like snow.
I topped it off with a pink bow which tied things all together.

Only you Shanna could pull off a pink Christmas Mantel and have it look classy dahling! Love the pink sequined trees are so pretty and the sugar house/bottle brush wreath is adorable. Love your garland and swooning over the metal tiered tray filled with colorful balls in front of your mantel too!
Love the pinks and gold – it’s Beautiful!
Shanna, I couldn’t wait to see yours! You are a girl after my own heart with a love of color!
I love the combination of it all!

Love, love the pink….so very glamorous!…I am going to have to look for those trees as my granddaughter wants pink Christmas decor in her room….they look so wonderful on the mantel. The NOEL just adds another level of wonderful glitz….Great job…So nice to party with you!
I love the pink!! I never would have though to use it for Christmas, but I love it and your mantel is gorgeous! XO
Shane this mantel makes me smile…I love the softer colors and the trees that you used as your inspiration are fantastic! I appreciate you letting us hear about your creative process…I find it fascinating to hear how Creatives create! xo
The pink trees shine and shimmer and blend great with the tile!! Its very vintage, and I love this color scheme myself, and adore it every time I use it! Enjoy your;Christmas music this season Shanna! Hugs!
What a beautiful mantel! I like how use incorporated the mirror and layered the wreath with those adorable houses. The NOEL adds bling along with the lights. Stunning!
Such a fun mantel. The pink is a great change from the expected and it all works together beautifully!!!
Oh how I adore the sparkle and the gorgeous mirror and wreath together!
I’m loving your newly painted white mantel and it really makes your pink trees pop. The entire thing is so pretty and I know that you are going to enjoy it all of December.
I can’t believe that you’ve already had an ice storm! I hope that’s not a sign of things to come this winter!
I love your mantel done in unexpected and untraditional colors! I saw that MS wreath last year and thought it was so cute, and I think you did a wonderful job recreating it! And the pink bow is definitely the crowning touch! It’s so hard to think about an ice storm. It has been 75 degrees here in South Carolina for the past week or so. Glad that most of yours has melted! Pinning and sharing your gorgeous mantel!
Hey Shanna, What a pretty color combo. I enjoy Christmas decor that isn’t centered around red and green. Love it!
Loving the glitter and pink. So unusual, but it works. My granddaughter would really love all the sparkle.
I love all the pink! I was considering blush this year, but somehow I ended up going in a different direction. This is great inspiration if I ever do get to use it!
Your mantel is so pretty. I love the touches of pink and the wreath is adorable!
Oh my goodness, I love it all, Shanna! The touches of pink are perfect.
