Welcome to the second edition of Throwback Thursday! I am traveling back through time and featuring some of my favorite projects from the past. It is fun to see how my painting techniques have changed, how my photography has improved (thank goodness!), and what was happening in my family's lives at the time. If you read my earlier post about my first dog Gracie, you know that I am absolutely in love with my pup. She is such an amazing dog. The only problem we had was separation anxiety (on ... VIEW POST
Throwback Thursday Edition #2 (and the Green Chalkpainted Dresser)
Planked Christmas Deer Sign
For the last few weeks, everywhere I have gone it has been Christmas. The grocery store, the mall, Home Depot, and the craft stores have had it up for months. Has any of this bothered me? Nope. I love everything about Christmas (except this extremely sucky cold weather). Usually we put up our tree the weekend after Thanksgiving. Last year we bumped it up to the week before Thanksgiving. But this year ... I actually talked Topher into doing it last weekend. A bit overkill? Probably, ... VIEW POST
Cleaning up Messes with Eureka SuctionSeal 2.0
This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #EurekaPower #CollectiveBias Does getting your house clean for the holidays stress you out? It definitely stresses me out. Our house is full of so many different kinds of messes: teenager messes, pet messes, crafting messes, DIY messes, the list goes on and on. During the holidays, we have a lot of company ... especially unexpected company, so it's important we have those messes ... VIEW POST
Throwback Thursday #1 (Retro Ivory Dresser)
I'm starting a little something new here on Thursdays. In this past year I have been very blessed with such a large number of new readers. Many of my beginning projects have never been seen by most of my new followers, and I thought it would be fun to go back and check some of them out. Now bare with me, my photography skills weren't up to par on some of these, but some of them are my favorite projects and it's kind of fun to see what was happening in my family's life at the time. I bought ... VIEW POST
Pottery Barn Advent Calendar Knock Off
Happy Monday everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend! I have The Plague. The throat swelling shut, head feels like it's going to blow up, body aches that make you want to die ... The Plague. I started feeling it Friday and Saturday, but it was tolerable. I had my Holiday Open House at RELove All Things Shabby on Saturday, and around 9:00 that night it was in full force. I had known in advance that this Knock Off Tour was coming up, but with last week being the unnamed child's ... VIEW POST
Why We Love Just Dance 2015
Does your family have any of the Just Dance editions? Ours has every one of them! We originally bought them years ago for my daughter to have when her friends came over. I figured it would be one of those things that she would play with for a few weeks and then be over it. Surprisingly, throughout the years, she and her friends have continued to love them. Teenagers, as you know, are OK not being very active, and they sometimes want to just sit around either watching movies or ... VIEW POST
October Review
October was a busy month at my house! We went away for a few days to Kansas City where I did some vintage shopping, went to the aquarium, the farmers market, and ate at some fun new restaurants ... and we got to visit one of my sweet bloggy friends. The unnamed child got a job (yahoo!), I did a little babysitting for my niece, and I cranked out quite a few projects. In case you missed any of the new goodies last month here they are! ...
