The countdown to Christmas is on my friends!
I have done a couple of Christmas tours showing you different areas of the house. I thought today I would put it all together for you, so you didn’t have to go searching all over the place.
Let’s start off with my mantel.
I made my new feather boa wreath, and hung it at the top of my mirror-turned-temporary-chalkboard that I wrote about here. I used my deer (that were part of my center pieces last year) to flank the mantel.
This year, my marque letters were my new focal point. I took my DIY Ornament Wreath (which was on my front door last year) and removed the ribbon and set it on my vintage suitcases.
I then laid my sparkly vintage ice skates against my wreath.
I started with reindeer and Santa garland across the mantel, and then I mixed it up a little when I did my 5 Golden Rings Project.
Beside my mantel is my vintage secretary, where I added some white poinsettias in an old trophy and added a few vintage clocks that I had in storage.
Lets move across the room to the coffee table where I placed my glitter table runner from last year’s dinner table. I added my sparkly reindeer, a Nativity scene, filled my apothecary jar with snow, and added my tiny light up tree that I got at Target.
I recently found this great leaded glass window that another vendor had brought into the store where I have my furniture booth (RELove All Things Shabby). I got it home and cleaned it up a bit, and I decided that the perfect home for it would be over my buffet.
I brought out some of my my mercury glass and my old balusters.
I then threw in some greenery with some lights and a few ornaments for color.
As we make our way into the dining room, you will see Bessie all cozy in her winter scarf.
At my dining table, I brought out some vintage glasses that I got from my surrogate grandmother. I used to be so bad at not using pretty things that had been passed down to me, but I finally came to the conclusion: What good do they do you if they just sit in a cabinet?
Now I make sure that I bring them out on special occasions and that the good memories of that person come with them.
I have a simple centerpiece this year. My honey made me this simple box out of barnwood for my Valentine’s Day centerpiece, so I filled it with candles, some artificial greenery that I cut up and some little Christmas bulbs.
Last but not least, the tree! I will be showing more close ups of it in a few days!
