Hello my friends!
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas here in Kansas!
It is bone chillingly cold here today. It gives me the perfect excuse to stay inside and get some work done and some Christmas wrapping started. I have some Michael Buble Christmas music going and a hot cup of cocoa. The pups are trying to help me wrap, and they are less than helpful.
I’m a little behind on showing you my Christmas decor this year. Honestly my tree hasn’t changed much since it’s so expensive to start from scratch on that, but my dining room (which you will see tomorrow) and mantel have.
If you follow my blog, you know that I like to have pops of color in my home and in my decor.
My mantel the year before last was turquoise, and last year’s was pink.
This year I decided to step out of the box and go with some pretty neutrals. Brown, ivory and gold are not my normal go-to colors, but I wanted to spice things up a bit.
I found the brown trees for a steal at Pier 1 last year after christmas, and I used the same NOEL marquee letters I used last year.
I also have a giveaway for you today! I have partnered with Lynch Creek Farm to giveaway this 26″ Tis the Season Wreath just like mine!
Lynch Creek Farm carries beautiful fresh wreaths that smell heavenly!
I was shocked when I opened up the box, and I saw what high quality it was.
I love the red plaid bow, and the little chalk board is too cute!
The only required entry for the GIVEAWAY is that you comment below, sharing with me your favorite Christmas tradition.
The giveaway is organized through the Rafflecopter below. After you comment, make sure you complete the Rafflecopter form. It will randomly select a winner.

Thank you for the chance to win! Your mantle looks gorgeous…..love the brown trees. My favorite Christmas tradition is taking communion on Christmas Eve with my family. Our church keeps the doors open so families can come and go throughout the day at their convenience. We have done this for years.

Our favorite family tradition was having both my mother and mother-in-law make a special dish for Christmas and bring it to our house. My Dad always cooked the turkey for Christmas. Oh how I miss them all. In a previous post I just had to say how beautiful that wreath was.

I love how you decorated your mantle, just beautiful! Our family tradition (started by my Mom when I was a kid) is that “The ELF” leaves you some presents on Christmas Eve! After everyone is done with dinner, the kids go into the family room to watch a Christmas show while the grown ups are clearing dishes and putting food away. Then an adult goes to call the kids to come into the living room where they are magically greeted with ELF presents under theChristmas tree AND a letter from Santa is hidden in the Christmas tree for each child! Everyone takes turns reading their letter from Santa and then you can open your gifts from the ELF! The youngest is 16 years old now, and no one is tired of this tradition!!!! Thank you Mom

Our traditions have changed now that we live in Alaska and our family lives in the MidWest. My favorite new tradition is Skyping with my sister and her family when we open presents!

My favorite tradition has to be turning off all the lights except for the tree and other Christmas decoration lights, making hot cocoa and sinking into a deep couch with my husband and our pets.

My children are grown so we have a silly little tradition that we have kept up for the last 4 years. I buy silly, Christmas hats for them and we take a cute, funny pic each year to remember and laugh.
