Happy Monday everyone! I hope you all had a great Halloween! Between now and Christmas, life seems to get a little chaotic — decorating your home, family get togethers, and holiday parties can make your head spin. Last year, I bit off a bit more than I could chew, and I didn't feel that I had any time to really enjoy the holidays because I was so busy. I vowed this year I wouldn't sign-on for so much and do whatever I could to make things easier. This year we are hosting Thanksgiving ... VIEW POST

Valentine’s Day Flower Wreath
It's been a busy week around here. As I mentioned earlier, I am getting ready for a Valentine's Day Home Tour coming up. It's been a flurry here of pink and red glitter, feathers, and hearts. The last wreath I had on my door was my DIY Ornament Wreath. Since the dreaded day came where Topher forced me to take my Christmas decor down (because it was actually January and the neighbors were giving me the "come on already and take down your Christmas crap" look), I knew it was time to find ... Yesterday was a cold one here, and I know most of you are dealing with freezing temperatures there as well. We got some snow but not a massive amount like some of you. We just had crazy wind and below-frigid temperatures. That's not good news when you have projects that need to be spray painted and Christmas lights that needed to be taken down. Sadly, all of the Christmas decor is now stored away, and my house looks naked and bare. Yesterday was not the best day for me. I had a massive ... VIEW POST

Happy Monday everyone! Are you all scurrying around like I am, running to the grocery store, wrapping presents and cleaning your house too? I thought so. We were snowed in all weekend. So I got a couple of extra Christmas projects finished, made some homemade soup, and watched Holiday Inn, White Christmas, and R.I.P.D. The last one wasn't a Christmas movie, but Topher got to choose one, and I never pass up a chance to watch Ryan Reynolds. We are going with my parents and my cousin ... VIEW POST

This post is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group™ and Open Me, but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #OpenMeHoliday http://cmp.ly/3/8vNxcO. I grew up in a small town. One of the perks of growing up there was everyone knew everyone (everyone also knew everyone else's business ... but that's another story). We had an elderly couple that lived right across the street from my family, and June and Cecil became our surrogate grandparents. ... VIEW POST
DIY Ornament Wreath
We had a busy weekend around here! We had Topher's side of the family's Thanksgiving on Saturday. After that I was back to work on a project. Sunday was spent taking pictures for a couple of this week's posts, cleaning up around here, and working on a couple of other new projects. Somewhere in between, the unnamed child and I watched "People Like Us". It was a good movie. We also looked for a car for the unnamed child but didn't come up with a winner yet. Topher's looking too, we spent a ... VIEW POST
Super Easy Button Ornament
Happy Monday everyone!! Well it was another cold weekend in Kansas. I spent the weekend getting the house cleaned up for Thanksgiving and doing my absolute favorite thing: putting up the Christmas tree! Nothing makes me happier. This year it is silver, white, and I am changing things up a bit and adding in some aqua. I know, me adding aqua ... what a shock. Not. Topher puts up the tree and hangs the lights. He was so frustrated! We bought all new strands of lights last year, and ... VIEW POST
