Pinterest Party Friday #65

Happy 4th of July!!!

I can’t believe that we actually have nice weather on the 4th. For the last two years it has rained.

My poor pup, Gracie, has been in a tizzy all week since she is terrified of fireworks. Tonight will be a long night for her.

We are heading over to my brother’s to see my little niece and have a BBQ with some of their neighbors.  The kiddo is making a dessert to bring tonight, Topher’s mowing and I’m painting. Super exciting.

I just want to thank every one of my readers — my blog has had the highest traffic week ever this week, and I want you all to know how much I appreciate you! I so love all of your comments and encouragement every day!

I hope you all have a safe and fun weekend!

On to this week’s favorite pins!

Two of my Coonhounds are scared to death off fireworks (and thunder, loud trucks, and anything that sounds like gunshots). I got each of them a Thundershirt, which really helps. However, the Thundershirt by itself doesn’t calm them as much as I would like it to, so I also give them a pouch of a product called K-10, which is a natural calming mixture for dogs. For their size, the instructions say to use two pouches, but as long as they have on their Thundershirts, one pouch seems to be enough. The Thundershirt company has added a calming spray and other items to help calm dogs who are stressed from storms, fireworks, or whatever. You might want to check into one or more of the products available to help calm dogs for your own furbaby.
